Reviews and Ratings
I was pleasantly surprised by The Fort during our last-minute stay in York. The apartment was well-appointed and comfortable, ideal for our family, and located right in the middle of everything, which made exploring the city a breeze. While the communal kitchen was a great bonus, the noise from nearby bars was a slight downside, particularly on weekends. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay, especially given the value for money during the busy Easter holiday.
My stay at this boutique hotel was quite the mixed bag. The location was unbeatable, being right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. Unfortunately, the noise levels were a significant downside, especially late at night, which made relaxation difficult. The cleanliness of the rooms was commendable, but the amenities could use some improvement. Overall, it offers good value if you're looking to party, but not ideal for a restful getaway.
This boutique hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of York, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. While the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, I did encounter some noise issues from the bar downstairs that affected my sleep. The amenities offered, especially the fresh milk in the fridge and complimentary snacks, were nice touches, but the limited air conditioning during a heatwave was a bit challenging. Overall, I found the stay enjoyable despite the noise at night.
The Fort has an unbeatable central location in York, making it easy to explore the city's sights and nightlife. The rooms are spacious and well-decorated, but the noise from the bar downstairs can be quite disruptive, especially on weekends. While the shower facilities are fantastic and the staff is helpful, the comfort of the beds left something to be desired, and the lack of air conditioning can make for warm nights. Overall, it's great for those looking to be in the heart of the action, but not ideal for light sleepers.
